GARMAN Died Very Suddenly in St. Joseph's Hospital in Philadelphia. On Thursday afternoon the sad intelligence reached Tyrone that Mrs. Allen S. Garman had died very suddenly in St. Joseph's hospital, in Philadelphia, where she had been operated on on Tuesday for tumors. Mrs. Garman was about 48 years of age. The surgeons at the hospital removed fifty-two of these growths from Mrs. Garman's body which left her in a very weakened condition, but up until Thursday afternoon she was getting along very nicely and really better than the doctors had expected under the circumstances. Late on Thursday afternoon the patient collapsed and her heart being weak, she soon passed into eternity. Mrs. Garman was a splendid woman and has hosts of friends in Tyrone and Bellefonte who mourn her death. She was a lady with an amiable disposition and was kind and affectionate. She was also a sincere Christian lady. She leaves to mourn her death a loving husband, her aged father, Morris Cowdrick, of Niagara Falls, and the following brothers and sister: Packard, Edward and William Cowdrick and Mrs. Hamilton Otto, of Niagara Falls. Mr. and Mrs. Garman and son Ira moved to Tyrone about eleven years ago, coming here from Bellefonte. Shortly after moving to our city their son died and from that time on Mrs. Garman began to fail in health and the past two years was an invalid, but all through her sorrow and suffering she was patient and bore her pain with full confidence that some day she would be with Him who wipes away all trials. The body will be taken through Tyrone this evening to the home of Mrs. Rebie Cruse, in Bellefonte, where funeral services will be held on Monday morning. Tyrone Herald, Tyrone, Pa., February 4, 1909 Funeral of Mrs. A. S. Garman. The funeral of the late Mrs. A. S. Garman occurred Monday morning from the St. John's Catholic church at Bellefonte. The interment was made in the family plot at the Union cemetery where her son, Ira, is buried. Tyrone Herald, Tyrone, Pa., February 4, 1909 NECROLOGY OF TYRONE.
