All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/centre/ _______________________________________________ VICTOR "DON" NEFF Victor "Don" Neff, 84, a retired assembler and World War II Veteran died of congestive heart failure on Nov. 18, 2004 at Sisters Hospital in New York State. He was born on Oct. 28, 1920 in Milesburg, PA and graduated from Tyrone High School in 1939. An Army sergeant during the war, he served for more than 16 months as an airplane and maintenance technician with the 65th Troop Carrier Squadron. Mr. Neff was an assembler at Westinghouse Electric Corp. from 1956 until he retired in 1981. He was later an insurance broker. He was a member of Post 1377, American Legion, Alden, NY; Twin Village Post 463, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Depew; and Alden Presbyterian Church. He was a hunter and built the Alden home in which he had lived since 1958. He is survived by two dauughter, Reyne Jankowski of Alden and Shirley Collins of Clarence. A service was held in November at the Charles Meyer Funeral Home, 13228 Broadway, Alden. Burial was in the Alden Union Cemetery. Tyrone Daily Herald, December 18, 2004
