Owen, editor of the La Rue Citizen, formerly of Philipsburg, Pa., whilst getting on a train, at Marion, Ohio, fell to the ground, and the cars passed over his leg, crushing it so badly that amputation had to be performed. He lingered a few days when death ended his sufferings. He was a young man of much promise, and only in his twenty-second year.
