She was pr onounced dead of a coronary occlusion by Dr. Harold I. Ishler of Howard, Centre County deputy coroner, after succombing on the lawn of her home, a long the Marsh Creek Road. The widow of Asbury PLETCHER, who died seven years ago, she was one of the large family of the late William C. PETER o f Beech Creek, who was national father of the year in the late 1940's. M r. PETER died last December 12 leaving 18 sons and daughters. Two motor ists passing the PLETCHER home discovered the fire on the roof of the far m home. Mrs. PLETCHER was at home with an invalid son and was in the hot attic of the three-story home fighting the fire.....d/o William and Emma GUMMO PETER. She was born at Beech Creek, Dec 26, 1896. Member of Beec h Creek Grange and Blanchard Church of Christ. Survivors: two sons - Gle nn and James of Howard; and brothers and sisters.
