PLETCHER, the well known agent for the Central RR of Penn. at Salona died very suddenly on Monday night as a result of a he morrhage of the lungs. He was in charge of the station as usual all day on Monday and retired that night in his usual health. Shortly before 2 o 'clock in the morning he was seized with a hemorrhage and rapidly lapsed into unconsciousness. A physician was summoned but death ensued in a sho rt time. Mr. PLETCHER was 45 years old and had been a resident of Salona for 18 years. As a young man he showed a marked artistic ability and in 1891 he went to Paris and studied art. Returning to this country he exe cuted some excellent paintings and finally accepted a position on the PA Grit, at Williamsport, as a staff artist. During his 4 years with that p aper his drawings attracted considerable attention. He was compelled to resign his position on account of his health and since then had lived at Salona and been agent for the Central RR of PA. He was a member of the M ethodist Church and a man highly esteemed by all who knew him. Survivors wife and son, George W., Jr., brother Prof B. F. PLETCHER of Lock Haven business institute, sister Miss Nan PLETCHER of Flemington. Service Frid ay, Burial Dunnstown Cemetery.
