Old Soldier Answers Call 

  John Peters, an aged soldier, died at his home one mile west of Port 
Matilda, Tuesday morning at 6.45.  Deceased was a soldier of Co. C, 
Thirteenth regiment of Pennsylvania cavalry.  He was born August 22, 
1843, being 77 years old.  He leaves three children, Joseph and William 
of Tyrone and Mrs. Jennie Lathers of Port Matilda.
