On Monday morning Mrs. Lyde Port, widow of the late William B. Port, of Pine Grove Mills, passed into the eternal life after a week's illness of acute nephritis at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Earl Smith, 806 East street Altoona. Mrs. Port was born at Rock Forge, Centre county, August 11, 1841, and resided at Pine Grove Mills until the death of her husband two years ago when she went to live with her daughter, Mrs. Smith, Surviving to mourn her passing is one son Rev. Wilton Clyde Dunlap, D.D. Ph. D., pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, Highland avenue, Louisville, Kentucky, and one daughter, Mrs. Earl Smith, of East street, Altoona. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. M. E. Stover, of Bellwood. Mrs. Port was a sincere Christian woman and a devoted member for many years of the Pine Grove Mills Lutheran church. Funeral services will be held at the Smith home this evening at 7:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. V. H. Jones. The body will be taken on the Lehigh Express to Bellefonte, thence to Pine Grove Mills on Thursday morning, where committal services will be held at the Pine Grove cemetery.
