All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/centre/ _________________________________________ Mrs. Ellen Potter Mrs. Ellen Potter, widow of the late Dr. Thomas Potter, died on Friday morning, August 15, after a lingering illness of almost four years, at her late home at Philipsburg. Her niece, Miss Anna McMullen was at her bedside constantly during her illness. The deceased was born near Orbisonia, Huntingdon county, and was the daughter of Enos and Casander McMullen, who have long since preceded her to the grave. She was married on April 18, 1878, to the late Dr. Thomas Potter, who died on January 12, 1906, in Philipsburg, by Rev. Thomas Switzer, who passed, away soon after performing the ceremony. Mrs. Potter is survived by only one brother and sister, J. W. McMullen, of Tyrone, and Mrs. F. H. Maddon, of Orbisonia, the latter being, at her bedside when death ensued.
