Renwick, Sandy Ridge, died Saturday at 6 a.m. in the Hollidaysburg State Hospital after a lengthy illness, due to complications of age. He was born April 16, 1886, at Falls Creek; Tioga County, the son of Lawson and Mary Staly Renwick. He married Nellie Sara Fullington who died in 1933. He had been a resident of Sandy Ridge the past thirty- five years. Surviving are sons and daughters Lawson, Sandy Ridge; Mrs. Earl Vaughn, Williamsburg; Mrs. James Barnett, Jack and Melvin, all of Sandy Ridge; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. John Henry, Sr., Tyrone Pike. He was a member of the Sandy Ridge Evangelical United Brethren Church, of the Elks Lodge at Philipsburg, The Central District Fireman's Association, the Mountain Top Fire Co. of Sandy Ridge, and the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Co., Tyrone. He had been an employee of the Harbinson-Walker Refractories Co. for 55 years prior to retirement. Funeral service will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home, Osceola Mills, in charge of the Rev. T. O. Fuoss. Burial will be in Philipsburg Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home this afternoon and evening and on Tuesday until time of service.
