Aged 55, Centre county farmer, died Saturday morning in the Centre County hospital as the result of injuries received July 10 while working on his farm, less than a mile east of Bellefonte. A lifelong resident of Centre county, he was a member of the Moose lodge of Bellefonte. His wife, the former Virgina [sic] Dugan, and the following children survive: Russell, Thelma, Betty and Edwin, all at home. Also surviving are four brothers, Clyde and Wilburg, both of Pleasant gap; Fred of Williamsport and Clarence of Emmitsburg, Md.; a sister, Mrs. Lester L. Baumgardner of Pleasant Gap, a step-sister, Mrs. B. B. Driegilbis of Orangeville, Ill., and one grandchild. Friends are being received at the home. Altoona Mirror, Monday, July 26, 1948, page 20
