Robison, Sr., 70, of 303 E. Plank Rd., Port Matilda, died Monday, March 20, 2006 at 8 a.m. at his residence. He was born November 11, 1935 in Port Matilda, a son of Ira and Amber (Cowher) Robison. On July 22, 1957 in Winchester, Virginia he married Marion L. Raling. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Barbara Turner of Port Matilda and Elizabeth "Bitta" Richner of Mill Hall; two sons, Norman A. Jr. of Port Matilda and David "J.D." and wife Bobbi of Julian; nine grandchildren, Alan and Jaclyn Turner, Jennifer Veneziano, Tara and Laura Richner, Andrea Cane and Kyle, Courtney and Hunter Robison; three great-grandchildren, Brandon Veneziano, Madison Richner and Alaina Cane; three brothers, Robert of Bristolville, Ohio, Donald of Port Matilda and Charles of Dubois and a sister, Margaret Ghaner of Bellefonte. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister. Known as "Greasy" or "Robbie" he was owner operator of Robbies Garage and Towing, Port Matilda for 40 years. He also served as bus driver and special events policeman for the Bald Eagle Area School District for many years. He was a life member of the Port Matilda Fire Company and served with the Fire Police. Robbie had been a baseball coach for the Port Matilda Minor, Little League, Teener, Legion and County League baseball teams. He was of the Protestant faith and was an avid hunter. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 24, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Earl Sones officiating. Interment will follow at Port Matilda Presbyterian Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to the Port Matilda Baptist Church or to the Port Matilda United Methodist Church.
