Sheffler died at his home in Bellefonte Saturday last age the age of 65 tears and one week. He was a native of Berks county, but had resided in Centre county over fifty years. He was a carpenter by trade but followed school teaching most of his life, having been the oldest teacher in the county. He was a direct descendant of the famous Kentucky pioneer, Daniel Boone, his mother having been a Boone. Tyrone Daily Herald, Monday, February 19, 1900
