She was born in Germany on March 7, 1831, hence was in her eighty-eighth year. She came to this country when a child and most of her life had been spent in Centre county. She was twice married, her first husband being David Wibly, by whom she had five children. In 1888 she married Isaac Tressler, of Linden Hall, who died in 1903. Her only survivors are one son and a daughter, Fred Wibly of Ferguson township, and Mrs. William Wolf, of Avoca. The funeral was held last Friday morning, burial being made in Pine Hall Cemetery. Democratic Watchman, 18 January 1918 Additional Comments: Catharine, according to several census records, was born in 1837. This date also agrees with her age listed as 16 on a Port of New York passenger list for the ship Vancluse dated 1 June 1853.
