She was born May 23, 1920, in Eldorado, a daughter of the late Clyde and Emma Snare Baney. On June 13, 1942, she married Curtis M. Walker who preceded her in death on May 8, 2002. Mrs. Walker was a homemaker, who assisted on the family farm, and worked at Erie Tech. She attended State College Assembly of God. She was a member of Halfmoon Grange No. 290 since 1945. Mrs. Walker especially enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing and crafts. She is survived by three daughters, Gloria J. Ellenberger and her husband Robert of Warriors Mark; Doris W. Smith and her husband Jack of Ephrata and Janet E. Neff of Pine Grove Mills; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one step great-grandson; one sister, Stella Walker of Tyrone and two brothers, James Baney of Pennsylvania Furnace and Clair Baney of Bellville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Jean Summers and five brothers, John, Eber, Ernest, George and Roy Baney. Friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2005 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. James R. Schomer officiating. Burial will be in the Gatesburg Cemetery, Gatesburg. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation of America, 322 8th Ave., 6th Floor, NY, NY 10001.
