Weaver of Locust St., Port Matilda died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005 at Beverly Healthcare-Hillview, Altoona. She was born on Oct. 19, 1919 in Port Matilda, a daughter of William and Gertrude (Jones) Walk. On April 3, 1941 in Cumberland, MD, she married James S. "Spence" Weaver. He died April 9, 1988. Surviving is a daughter, Sheila Anderson and husband Joe of West Palm Beach, FL; five sons: James S. Jr. of Belleville, Terry L. and wife Donna of Belleville, Larry J. and wife Sharon of Port Matilda, Gary J. and wife Carolyn and Ashley R. and wife Linda, all of Tyrone; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a sister, Elsie Harshbarger of Warriors Mark. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Nearhoof and two brothers, Cecil and Guy Walk. Mrs. Weaver retired in 1984 from the cafeteria at Park Forest Elementary School, State College Area School District, following 14 years service. She and her husband were former owners and operators of the Triangle Bar and Grill, Bald Eagle for 20 years. She was a member of the Port Matilda United Methodist Church and the Port Matilda Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed gardening and yard work. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Samuel Reese officiating. Interment will follow at Port Matilda Presbyterian Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Feller Memorial Home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of the services. Tyrone Daily Herald, December 20, 2005
