White, 62, of State College, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. She was born December 16, 1944 in Halfmoon Township, a daughter of the late William A. and Esther L. Hoffer Hammond. On April 16, 1992, she married Glenn R. "Dick" White who preceded her in death on August 18, 1999. Mrs. White is survived by a daughter, Lisa L. Lesher and her husband Eric of Pennsylvania Furnace, and their children: Christina Walk and her son Landon Tressler, Brandon Walk Terren, Katelyn and Victoria Lesher; one son, Greg R. Campbell and his wife Jennifer of Camp Hill and their children: Michelle Sopp and her daughter Amya, Jesse Sopp and Nicole Campbell; five sisters: Elsie Dixon and her husband Ken of Boalsburg, Lulu Patton and her husband Denny of Tyrone, Clara R. Keith and her husband Bob of Tuscon, AZ, Ida Noll of Snow Shoe and Shirley D. Smoyer and her husband Ron of Runville; one brother, Charles Hammond of Port Matilda; two step-daughters, Carol Sayers and her husband Willie of Loganton and Glenda Rupert and her husband Mark of Centre Hall; one step-son, Daniel White and his wife Bobbi of Loganton and five step- grandchildren and one step great-grandson. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and William Hammond. Mrs. White had been employed at Penn State University from 1984 until her retirement on June 7, 2005. She attended State College Assembly of God. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, 2007 at State College Assembly of God, 2201 University Drive Extension, State College, Pa. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2007 at the church with the Rev. Dr. Paul E. Grabill and the Reverend Harry Brotzman Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Mooresville Cemetery, Mooresville, Pa. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Special Olympics, Area M, PO Box 382, Summerdale, Pa. 17009.
