BELLEFONTE, Pa., December 27. - Yesterday morning at about half page 10 a most distressing accident occurred in the Pennsylvania railroad yard at this place. Mr. Clell Whiteman, on the Snow Shoe train, while making a coupling, was caught between the bumpers and had his ribs crushed. He was taken to the Bush house and attended by Dr. George Harris, but his injuries proved fatal and he died at 1 o'clock. His remains were taken to his home in Snow Shoe last evening. Mr. Whiteman was a young man about 23 years old, single and resided with his aged parents, whose only support he was.
