Williams, age 42, of 10940 South Eagle Valley Road, Port Matilda died Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at Bon Secours Regional Health System - Altoona following a lengthy illness. He was born June 26, 1962 at Tyrone, a son of Charles and Shirley Beckwith Williams. On August 8, 1992 he married Kelly Rudy in Port Matilda. He is survived by his wife, a step-daughter Mindy Rudy at home, two daughters, Samantha Williams of Altoona and Breanna Williams at home. His mother, Shirley Williams of Port Matilda, a sister Brenda Lange of Port Matilda, a niece and four nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his father Charles on February 25, 1989. Mr. Williams was a graduate of Tyrone Area High School, Class of 1980. He was a life member and certified EMT with the Port Matilda Fire Co. where he was also a life member. Before his illness, he had been involved as a coach and umpire with the Port Matilda Little League baseball. He enjoyed hunting. He had been owner of the former Williams Gift Shop, Port Matilda. He was retired on disability as a senior material control clerk from HRB/Raytheon, State College. He was also employed as a security guard at the Bryce Jordan Center for a number of years. Friends and relatives will be received from 3 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 12 and are welcome to stay for a memorial service at 4 p.m. in charge of Pastor Patricia Gable, of the Port Matilda United Methodist Church. At the request of Bruce there will be no viewing. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Bruce E. Williams Memorial Fund, in care of Feller Memorial Home, 817 West 15th St., Tyrone, PA 16686.
