Williams of Port Matilda, a well known director of the Farmers and Merchants National bank of this place, died at his home yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock from complications. Mr. Miller was in partner with his brother in the milling and lumber business and was aged about 40 years. He leaves his wife and a number of children. He was a brother of Mrs. A. B. Woodring of Bald Eagle avenue and 11th street. Funeral arrangements and more complete account of his life will appear tomorrow. Altoona Times, Wednesday Morning, October 9, 1918 FUNERAL NOTICE The funeral of the late John M. Williams who died Tuesday afternoon at his home in Port Matilda, will be held this afternoon at the home at 2 o'clock. Besides being a director in the Farmers & Merchants National bank, he was a member of Tyrone Lodge Free and Accepted Masons and Port Matilda Lodge of Odd Fellows. He leaves his wife and 5 children, Stanley, Burton, Donald, Marjorie and Pauline. He also leaves these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Archie B. Woodring of Tyrone; Mrs. J. C. Young of Hughesville; Mrs. Gordon A. Williams of Houtzdale; Mrs. H. M. Crane, Port Matilda; Mabel and Florence at home and Blake E., in France. Altoona Times, Thursday Morning, October 10, 1918
