DIED. - Suddenly in childbed on Monday last Mrs. Rachel Williams, consort of Mr. Joseph Williams of this borough (and daughter of John Fee, of the vicinity of Huntingdon) in the 41st year of her age. It is with unfeigned regret we record the death of this amiable woman. She has left an affectionate husband, six children, and a numerous connexion to mourn her ultimate exit. By her death, community has been deprived of a pious and virtuous woman, her husband a loving wife, and her children a tender and affectionate mother. She was a strict professor of Christianity, and it is hoped the change has been for the better. This is another awful confirmation of the uncertainty of death. But a few hours before her departure from this world of affliction she was enjoyment of good health. But alas! stern fate's decrees must be obeyed; she sank beneath the fierce stroke of death's strong arm never to return. On Tuesday last her relics were conveyed to the mansions of the dead and there deposited in a most solemn and impressive manner in the presence of a numerous assemblage of people. "Gentle lady, may thy Grave Peace and quiet ever have; After this thy travail sore Sweet rest seize thee ever more That, to give the world increase, Short'ned hast thy own life's lease."
