WILSON, One of the oldest residents of Halfmoon Valley and father of Harry L. Wilson, the well-known contract painter and paper hanger of Eighth avenue and Ninth street, died at his home yesterday morning at 7.45. He was born September 5, 1818. His parents were members of the Society of Friends, but he preferred to join the Methodist Episcopal church with his wife, who preceded him to the grave eleven years ago. He was always a staunch Republican, his first presidential vote being for William Henry Harrison. Nine children survive, as follows: Mary B., Harriet E. and Alice E., at home; Robert A. of Tyrone, Isaac G. of Callao, Peru, South America, George G. of Portland, Ore., John P. of Eleven, Wis., Benner M. of Beech Creek and Harry L. of this city. Funeral services will be held at his late home tomorrow morning at 10.30. Interment will follow in Gray's cemetery. Altoona Mirror, Thursday, October 18, 1906
