All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/centre/ _________________________________________ JOHN WORKMAN John Workman, a widely known and highly respected resident of Mingoville, Centre county, died suddenly Thursday, February 22, from heart trouble his death occurring shortly after he arose. He was the son of John and Susan Workman, both deceased, and was born at Eagleville, April 12, 1847, being aged 69 years, 10 months and 10 days. On February 20, 1876, he was united in marriage to Martha E. Rockey. To this union were born five children. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and the following children: H. E. and W. L. Workman, of this city; C. C. and Mrs. C. E. Guiser, of Mingoville, and Richard E., at home; also these brothers and sisters: Daniel and Samuel, of Lock Haven; Mrs. Sarah Rohraback, of New Kensington; Mrs. C. Miller, of DuBois and Mrs. R. Dunkle, of Millheim. He was for many years an active member of the Evangelical church and in politics was a Democrat. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock, with interment following in the Union church cemetery. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Saturday morning, March 3, 1917
