Young, 401 Spruce Street, Philipsburg, died at his home Saturday, December 31, of an acute heart attack. He was born in Curwensville April 27, 1893, the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Young. On October 14, 1914, he was married to Ella Crawshaw. He is survived by his wife and a daughter, Margaret, wife of Leslie Shultz, State College, and a son, Miller Young, also of State College. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church. Mr. Young had been a resident of Curwensville and Altoona before moving to Philipsburg. He conducted a barber shop in the Moshannon Bank building. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home in charge of the Reverend C. Edwin Houck, followed by burial in the Philipsburg Cemetery. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., January 5, 1950
