Rd. Port Matilda died April 18, 2005 as a result of an auto accident. He was born January 11, 1964 in Huntingdon, the son of the late Raymond (Buck) and Elva Jean Smith Zimmerman. On April 25, 1987 he married Lora L. Harpster at the Port Matilda Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife; two sons: Timothy and Matthew, at home; one sister, Carol M. Zimmerman of Eden Hill; five brothers: Raymond H. of Eden Hill, Allen L. of Tyrone, Michael S. of Warriors Mark, twin brother Tommy L. of California and David John and several aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews. He was an active member of the Bald Eagle United Methodist Church. He was active in the Bald Eagle Valley American Youth Soccer Organization where he was a coach and referee, also he was involved with the Boy Scouts of America Troop No. 103 where he was assistant scout master, cub scout den leader, avid camper and outdoorsman. Mr. Zimmerman was a Herd Manager at Conrad Farms in Warriors Mark and previously was employed at Walmart District Center in Clearfield. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 22, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Bald Eagle United Methodist Church with Pastor Michele Somerville officiating. Place of burial at Black Oak Cemetery in Port Matilda. Friends will be received at the Bruce E. Cox Funeral Home in Warriors Mark on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and at the church from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Scout Troop 103 c/o Dawn Stewart, 229 Irish Flat Road, Tyrone, Pa. 16686.
