They came to Chester Co, and resided perhaps near St. Peter's church, in the Valley, at one time, and afterwards in the neighborhood of Concord, but it is not known that Daniel owned any land. Joseph James, son of Daniel, was born in this country, June 21, 1761, and married Mary, dau of Francis and Ann Marshall Hickman. He died Oct 29, 1842, and his widow Feb 21, 1846, aged about 80. Their children were as follows; Levis, Benjamin, Thomas, Sarah, Amelia, Ann and Francis, twins Jane Mary H, Hickman and Wm H.
