His mother was a daughter of Henry Buckwalter of that township. Mr. Marsh is a clergyman of the Baptist Church, and is now (1881) pastor of the Remsen Ave. Baptist Church of New Brunswick, J.J. HE is quite noted as a writer and has written articles for the Bibliotheca Sacra, Andover, Mass; Baptist Quarterly, Philadelphia; has written and translated from the French for the Baptist Review, of Cincinnati, Ohio; contributed to the Sunday-School Times, of Philadelphia; and writes for the National Baptist, of Philadelphia; the Examiner and Chronicle of New York' and the Journal and Messenger, of Cincinnati. He is also the author of "The Modern Sunday-School," published by the American Baptist Publication Society, and has a work now in the hands of the publication committee of that society on the "Two Theories of the Visible Church." These works would have been included in the article on the bibliography of the county, but a knowledge of them was not received in time.
