Name:               Dorothea Finney

This is the headstone of Dorothea Finney, birthplace unknown, wife of Robert 
Finney.  She died at New London, PA in May 1752.  Dorothea Finney was the 
mother of Letitia Finney, mother of Thomas McKean, signer of the Declaration 
of Independence and Governor of Pennsylvania.

The carver of the headstone ran out of room for Dorothea's last name and had 
to enter the last two letters in smaller script on a line above

This is the headstone of Robert Finney, born at Londonderry, Ireland in 1668, 
Died at New London, PA, March 1755, aged 87 years.  Robert Finney was the 
father of Letitia Finney, mother of Thomas McKean, signer of the Declaration 
of Independence and Governor of Pennsylvania.
