   The Protestant Episcopal church at Penn Station is the 4th edifice which has 
been used as a place of worship by the parish, known ecclesiasticaly as "St 
John's Church, New London Cross Roads."
     As far as can be ascertained from very meagre and much torn papers, the 
pastors have been as follows; 

Rev John Gordon, 1744  
Rev Elisha Rigg 1791 
Rev  George Handy 1808 
Rev  Jacob M Douglass 1824 
Rev  George Kirke  1829  (Rev Kirke's was a long pastorate of 40 years) 
Rev J H MacElrey 
Rev J L HEysinger 
Rev George Hall 
Rev Wm Augustus White
