The Lutheran congregation assisted in building the church, and the 2 congregations worshiped in it on alternate Sundays till 1851, when the Reformed congregation purchased the interests of the Lutherans. Rev Jesse B Knipe was the pastor from the time of organization till 1-1-1881, when he resigned. Rev A K Thompson is now pastor (1881).
