EXAMINATION OF ELIZABETH BEETY October 11, 1773 Philadelphia. The Examination of Elizabeth Beaty on Oath taken this 11th day of October 1773 Before William Fisher Thomas Lawrence two of the Aldermen of this Cyty Doth declare & Say that she arrived in the Ship Prince George from Captain Agar Master, at NewCastle about Elevan years past. That she went from thence to Octarara West Fallowfield Chester County, where she was sold to Arthur Berk for the term of four years, that she serv'd One year and Half at said place, an then was sold by said Arthur Berk to his Brother in Law Robert Hoop in the Great Valley Chester County with who she serv'd the Remainder part of her Time, and that she was working in the Neighberhood of Said Valley three Years after the Expiration of her Servitude, and then went to Brandywine, where she remained upwards of One Year, from thence she went to Lancaster where she tarryd about three months. She then Returned to Brandywine, and from Brandywine to the Great Valley, the Overseers of which place removed her to Octarrara West Fallowfield where her Residue was adjudged to be by William Clenghin, a Justice of the Peace of the said Township.
