Now we Robert Jackman, Daniel Gregg and Mary his wife, Nathaniel Abbot and Jean his wife Henry Burke and Martha his wife of Washington County and Solomon Gause and Ruth his wife heirs & Representatives of the sd. Samuel Dixson Dec’d Brother to the sd. Henry Dixson of the county and state aforesaid. Also Ellis Nichols of Fayette County and state aforesaid assignee of Abraham Dixson Henry Dixson & Thomas Bayley and Sarah his wife also heirs and representatives of the sd. Samuel Dixson deceased – have jointly and severally nominated and appointed and by these presents Do Nominate and appoint William Phillips of Mill Creek Hundred in New Castle County and state of Delaware our true and lawful attorney for us and in our names to Sell by publick or private sale all and every part of the sd. Estate described in the sd Henry Dixon’s will and we do hereby give and grant unto our said attorney our full power to use and exercise all Such acts things and devices as Shall be necessary for the selling and Conveying our Rights of in to or out of said land or premises Subject to the Incumbrances as by the will expressed we being the heirs & Representatives of the said Sam’l Dixson deceased and we do also hereby empower our sd Attorney to make and execute all deeds writings or Conveyances as shall be necessary for the Conveying of sd. Land & premises with all and singular the appurtenances unto the purchaser or purchasers thereon in our names and Generally to do & execute in the premises as fully as we could do being each of us personally present and also to ask demand sue for recover & receive all Rents or arrears(?) of rents that are now or shall be due on sd premises lawfully belonging to us hereby jointly severally ratifying & Confirming all whatsoever he shall lawfully do cause to be done by virtue of these presents.
