Alvin Negley Jack, born in Rockwell City, Ia.
Son of Alexander Negley Jack (1817-1912) and Margaret Anneta Long *1847-1898).
Grandson of Leslie Jack (1812-1881) and Barbara Negley (1813-160) m. 1843.
Great-grandson of Andrew Jack, Jr., and Sarah Galbraith.
Great-great-grandson of Andrew Jack, Sr.
  Born in Ireland and died in Penna.  Private soldier, enlisted, 1776, under Sub-
  Lt. Andrew Boyd, June 8, 1777.  Also Capt. Gibb’s Co. First Co. 8th Battalion, 
  Col. Bell.  Private in Capt. Robt. Cochran’s Co. in 1781.
