Naturalization 4:136] Report & Declaration of William WRIGHT of intention to become a Citizen. I William WRIGHT an alien free white person, do hereby declare and report that I was born in the Parish of Saint Mary, in the County of Cambridge, in the Isle of Eli, in England, on the twenty seventh day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred, and that I am now in the twenty ninth year of my age, that I am a member of the British nation, and owe allegiance to the King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. That I emigrated from the City [words "of Liver Pool" crossed out] and port of Liver Pool in England, in the later part of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventeen, and arrived in the City and port of New York in the United States of America on the fifth day of May in the same year. That since my arrival in the United States of America, I have resided in the State of Pennsylvania altogether. That ever since the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one I have resided in the County of Chester in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and that it is my intention still to reside and settle in the County and State aforesaid. I therefore request this my declaration and report to be filed of record in the office of the Prothonotary of the Court of Common Pleas of Chester County in the State last aforesaid. William WRIGHT above named appears in open Court and upon his solemn affirmation deposes that the allegations set forth in the above report and declaration are true, and that it is bona fide his intention to become a Citizen of the United States of America, and to renounce forever, all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to the King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland to whom he is at this time a Subject.
