Whereas Thomas and Richard Penn, Esq., by their then Lieutenant Governor James Hamilton by patent dated 25 June 1762 Recorded at Philadelphia in Patent Book AA Vol. 2 pg. 554 on 17 August 1762 did grant unto James Beaty a parcel of land in Nantmell aforesaid (land description)..corner of James Cunningham.by land of William Brown....land of Isaac James...126 * acres and they also granted to James Beaty by patent Nov. 1762 recorded at Philadelphia (obscured) Vol. 4 pg. 66 on the 26th November 1762 a tract of land contiguous to the aforesaid tract (land description).by lands of John Hamilton.by Thomas Scott's land..47 acres and 70 perches. Now this indenture witnesseth that the said James Beatty and Eleanor his wife for 867 pounds 10 shillings paid by James Stuart and Robert Wilson all the aforesaid two tracts of land 126 * acres and 47 acres and 70 perches..
