All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Diana Quinones audianaq@msn.com August 31, 2005, 1:16 am 2 acres in Coventry Twp boundary of Jacob Stegers, Andrew Height, and Jacob Casdorp Written: June 27, 1751 Recorded: November 30, 1796 The grantors, Andrew Height and wife Magdalena, by their deed of indenture bearing the date of 26 June 1751 for the consideration therein, did grant and convey into the said Daniel Longacre, Martin Bieghel, Jacob Heigh, Casper Acre, Johannes Buckwalter and Jacob Engers, a certain piece of land situate lying and being in Coventry township, aforesaid, Beginning at a white oak tree marked for a corner standing in the line of Jacob Steger's land about 46 perches from a post being the corner of the lands of the said Andrew Height and Jacob Casdorp respectively, thence extending southwest 20 perches to a Spanish oak sapling, marked for corner, then southeast 16 perches to a white oak marked for a corner, then northeast 20 perches to a hickory marked for a corner, then northwest 16 perches to the place of beginning, containing 2 acres, to hold the same to them, their heirs, and assigns forever as in and by the said recited indenture, relationship being thereunto had doth more fully appear, which said land and premises was so conveyed to them the said Daniel Longacre, Martin Bieghle, Jacob High, Casper Acre, Thomas[sic] Buckwalter and Jacob Engers upon special trust and confidence in them reposed in and by the people commonly called Manonists, alias, Minister, inhabitants of Coventry, aforesaid, and the adjacent parts thereof, such as shall be and continue in unity and religious fellowship as members of their society, whereunto the said Daniel Longacre, Martin Beighle, Jacob High, Casper Acre, Johannes Buckwalter, and Jacob Engers doth and now belong, to uses, interests, or purpose hereinafter mentioned and declared and to no other use, interest, and purposes whatsoever that is to say - for the benefit and belief of the sd. people called Mennonists or Minister aforesaid for a burying ground and to and for the uses and services of the society forever and it is the true interest and meaning of these presents and of the parties hereinto, that neither the said Daniel Longacre, Martin Bieghel and Jacob High, Casper Acre, Johannes Buckwalter, Jacob Engers nor any of them, nor any other person or persons succeeding them in the said trust who shall be declared by the members of the said Society for the time being to be out of unity and religious fellowship of the said People, shall be capable to execute the said trust while they shall so remain, but that in all cases, as also, when any of them or others succeeding them in the said trust shall happen to depart this life, then it shall and may be lawful to and for the members of the said society as often as occasion shall require, to make choice of others to manage and execute the said trust in steed of such as shall fall away or be deceased and upon further trust and confidence that they, the said Daniel Longeneker, Martin Beighel, Jacob Heigh, Casper Acre, Johannes Buckwalter and Jacob Engers and the survivor of them and the heirs of such survivor should upon request of the members of said society either assign over or convey and settle the said two acres of land and premises to such person or persons as the members of the said Society shall order and appoint, to and for the uses, interests and service aforesaid. Know know ye that they, the said Daniel Longenecker, Martin Beighle, Jacob High, Casper Acre, Johannes Buckwalter and Jacob Egers[sic] do hereby acknowledge that they are entrusted by the above indenture by and on behalf og the said people called Menonists, alias Minister and that they are entrusted thereby only by and for the members of their said Society and that they, neither of them, do not claim to have any right, title, or interest of, in or to the described 2 acres of land and premises or any part or parcel therof, to their service, benefit by virtue of the said indenture of conveyance made to them as aforesaid or otherwise secured and devise all use interest and purposes whatsoever, .....they have set their hands and seals hereunto dates the 29th day of June in the year of 1751. Memorandum the August 3 1751, before me, William Moore, one of the justices of the County of Chester comes Henry Brower and Yost Eger and upon their solemn affirmation according to law did declare and say that they saw the said Dan'l Longacre, Martin Beighel, Jacob High, Casper Acre, Johannes Buckwalter and Jacob Eger sign, seal and as their act and deed, deliver the above instrument of writing and that their names thereunto subscribed as witness of their own handwriting: In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first written above.
