Written: April 16, 1805 Recorded: August 13, 1805 RELEASE John RICE and wife to Benjamin SHENEMAN. To all people to whom these presents shall come, John RICE of the township of Milford in the County of Mifflin in the State of Pennsylvania, a millwright, and Elizabeth, his wife, send GREETINGS. Whereas the West New Jersey Society by their Indenture duly exhibited by Robert MORRIS of New Brunswick in the State of New Jersey, Esquire, their attorney, bearing the date the written ?? day of March in the year of our Lord 1796 in the consideration therein mentioned, did grant and confirm unto Benjamin Shinneman and the said John Rice, a certain tract of land or parcel of land situate in the township of Vincent in the County of Chester and State of Pennsylvania containing 258 acres and threefourths, in very strict measure, to hold to them the said Benjamin Shinneman and John Rice, their heirs and assigns forever; as in and by, the said John Rice and Elizabeth his wife for and in consideration of the sum of 5 shillings to them in hand paid by the said Benjamin Shinneman, at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge, and thereof acquit and forever discharge the said Benjamin Shinneman and his heirs, executors and administrators by these presents HAVE and each of them HATH remised, released, and forquit claimed and by these presents DO and each of them BOTH remise, release, and forever quitclaim unto the said Benjamin Shenneman and to his heirs and assigns ALL the estate right bill or interest property, claim and demand whatsoever of them the said John Rice and Elizabeth his wife in law or family, or otherwise, howsoever of in to or out of the tracts or parcels of land situate lying and in the township of Vincent in the County of Chester and State of Pennsylvania in the actual possession and seizin of the said Benjamin Shenneman now being bounded and limitted as follows: the one of them BEGINNING at a post thence by lands of Thomas DAVIS..south to an Oak and east to a Hickory by lands of John JONES, deceased, and then by lands of Henry ZINNER and then north by lands of said John RICE, metes and bounds to place of beginning, containing 126 1/4 acres, be the same more or less, being a part of the above mentioned 258 3/4 acres and 2) the other of them BEGINNING at a stone in the line of Henry BENNER thence by lands of said John RICE south to a stone and then west past lands of Thomas DAVIS north to a Hickory then by lands of Henry BENNER to beginnings containing 47 3/4 acres TOGETHER with all and singular the buildings, improvements, rights, members and appurtenanceds whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions, and remainders, rents and profits thereof TO HAVE AND TO HOLD all and singular the premises hereby remised and released or mentioned and intended so to be with appurtenances unto the said Benjamin Shenneman, his heirs and assigns forever. SO that neither the said John RICE and Elizabeth his wife nor their heirs nor any other person or persons whosoever lawfully claiming or to claim by, from or under them shall or may, at any time or times hereafter, have claim challenge or demand any estate right title or interest of in to or out of the said above mentioned and described two tracts or parcels of land, hereditaments and premises hereby remised and released or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances or any part or parcel thereof, but thereof and therefrom shall and will be utterly excluded and forever debarred by these presents.
