This INDENTURE made the 10th day of June in the year of our Lord 1803, BETWEEN Edward Thomas of the township of East Nantmill, County of Chester, and state of Pennsylvania and his wife Barbara of the one part, and Jacob High, Jr., of the same place of the other part, WITNESSETH that the said Edward Thomas and Barbara his wife for and in consideration of the sum of 14 pounds, 1 shilling and 3 pence, lawful money of the State of Pennsylvania to them in hand well and truly paid by the said Jacob High, Jr., at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt, whereof they do hereby acknowledge and thereof do acquit and forever discharge the said Jacob High Jr., his heirs, executors, and administrators by these presents, HAVE granted, bargained, enfeoffed, released and confirmed and by these presents DO GRANT, bragain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said Jacob High, Jr and to his heirs and assigns, ALL THAT certain or lott of land surveyed to him being part of a larger tract that the said Edward Thomas became lawfully seized of by virtue of the last will and testament of William Thomas, deceased, reference to the same will more fully appear, the same lott of land beginning at a stone heap, an old corner of the above recited tract of land and running up north 86 degrees east 50 perches along a line of the land of the said Jacob High Jr., to a post thence south 1 degree south 86 degrees west 50 perches along by the same to a maple tree thence by land of Jas. Good, north one degree east 9 perches to the place of beginning containing 2 acres and 130 perches be the same more or less, TOGETHER also with all singular the houses, outhouses, barns, stables, gardens, orchards, meadows, fields, fences, ways, woods, water, water courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof, and also all the estate right, title, interest, use, trust, property, possession, claim and demands whatsoever of them the said Edward Thomas and Barbara his wife in law or equity or otherwise howsoever of, in, to, or out of the same. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said described lott of land containing the aforesaid with the hereditaments and premises, hereby granted and released or mentioned, or intended so to be with appurtenances, as aforesaid unto the said Jacob High Jr., his heirs and assigns, to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Jacob High Jr, his heirs and assigns forever. AND THE said Edward Thomas and Barbara his wife for themselves their heirs, executors and administrators do covenant, promise, grant and agree to and with the said Jacob High Jr., and his heirs and assigns by these presents that them the said Edward Thomas and Barbara his wife and their heirs, the said hereditaments and premises hereby granted and released, or mentioned or intended to be, with the appurtenances unto the said Jacob High Jr his heirs and assigns against them the said Edward Thomas and Barbara his wife and their heirs, and against all and every other person and persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part or parcel thereof shall and will WARRANT and forever DEFEND by these presents. BE IT REMEMBERED that on the 10th day of June AD 1805 before me, John Ralston, Esq., one of the judges of the Court of Common Pleas of the said county, came the above named Edward Thomas and Barbara his wife and acknowledged the above indenture to be their Act and Deed, and desired that the same might be recorded as such, according to Law.
