C. He was 103 years old and therefore born in 1730. He enlisted in the Revolutionary army in April, 1776, at Turk's Head, Chester County, in Captain Church's company, Colonel Anthony Wayne's regiment. He served in the battles of Three Rivers, Iron Mills, Brandywine, Paoli, Germantown and Monmouth, was in the storming of Stony Point, under Captain Grant of the 9th regiment; he was in the battles of Camden, Cowpens, and Eutaw Springs under Colonel Stuart and in the Siege of Yorktown under Captain Davis.
