Last evening, Michael Finegan, one of East Goshen’s sturdy farmers, having 
attained the age of 52 years, was surprised by about fifty of his friends and 
acquaintances suddenly taking possession of his house and spending a few hours 
I a very enjoyable manner.  The art of Terpsichore was indulged in for a while 
and other amusements of a different character were gone through to the great 
delight of all.
