L. OGDEN, Mansion House, Valley Forge, lies critically ill of a protracted attack of pneumonia, and is not expected to live. Paralysis – mrs. J. H. LEAMY, of Eale, Chester county, recently sustained a severe paralytic stroke, but still retains the use of her limbs; the muscles of the right side of the face are inactive. Ex-County Treasurer Jesse E. PHILLIPS, of Chester county, has settled his case with the County Commissioners, having paid over to the latter the amount of county funds on deposit in the Bank of Brandywine when the bank failed. The failure of the bank thus made Mr. PHILLIPS, and not Chester county whose responsible official he was, the loser. Mrs. Elizabeth MORRISON, widow of the Rev. A. G. MORRISON, pastor of the Presbyterian church at Coatesville for about thirty years, died on the 15th aged 68 years. On the 17th inst., Joseph BALDWIN, in this 80th year, and Sarah Ann, his wife, aged 62 years, departed their lives almost simultaneously at their residence, at Mortonville, Chester county, the former dying of pneumonia and the latter of heart disease.
