They are: Francis R. MONTORO, 25, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Montoro, 126 South Third avenue, Coatesville, and Henry R. GRONINGER, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Groninger, 819 Bellevue avenue, Laureldale. Lieutenant Montoro was a physical education instructor and salesman in civilian life. He attended college here from 1939 to 1941 and was outstanding in track and soccer. Lieutenant Groninger, who taught music in public school, graduated here in 1941. Private Warren N. TEMPLE, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Temple, has recently been transferred from Camp Lee, Va., to the 60th State Hospital in Fort Meade, Md. Temple was home over the Fourth of July. He telephoned his parents last night for his bathing suit, stating they have a wonderful pool at Ft. Meade. He hopes to get home this week-end. They are building a new State Hospital, and he is now waiting to work in it. Private Leonard CUMMINS, West Chester, has been transferred to Battery K, 514th C.A. (A.A.) Camp Davis, N.C. He was formerly stationed at Fort Eustis, Va. Elwood NAYLOR, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Naylor, of 413 West Gay street, is now stationed at Newport, R.I., where he is in training for the submarine squad. A reception was held at Malvern last Tuesday for the young selectee. A cablegram recently received from Private Lynford KAUTZ, to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Kautz, near Malvern, states that he has returned to Northern Ireland after a period of maneuvers in Great Britain. Private Herbert ANDRESS, formerly assistant manager of the Warner Theatre, West Chester, writes a friend, the card being dated San Francisco, Calif.: “At last I am traveling around the country. Next it will be the world. It was two years ago since I was here. Going out of here via water. Hope everything is well with you. See you if and when I come back.” Albert E. D’ANNUNZIO, who is with the 29th Engineers at Camp Blanding, Florida, writes that he likes the column about the men in the armed forces. He is seeking a transfer to the Army Air Corps.
