WELLER, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Weller, of 435 South Walnut street, is home for a few days with his parents from Camp Holabird, Ordinance Motor Base, Baltimore, Md.Pfc. Daniel HARTZ, of Malvern, who is stationed at Torresdale, Philadelphia, is home on a three-day leave which was granted him as an award for having the neatest tent in a recent camp inspection.Private Frank D. THOMPSON, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Thompson, of Evans street, who was home on Sunday, spent the day with his parents, who entertained in his honor at a dinner party.Mr. and Mrs. Howard OSWALD, of Elverson, received word of the safe arrival of their son, Private Harry P. Oswald, in Australia, this being the first they had heard from him in six weeks. Private Oswald is connected with the Army Air Corps as a clerk and was inducted into the Army on May 1st, and was sent to Camp Meade. From there he went to Miami Beach, Fla.; Jefferson Barracks, Mo., and San Francisco, whence he sailed for Australia.Private Francis FENNELLY, Downingtown, is now located with American forces in Iceland. His father, James Fennelly, Washington Ave., recently received a letter in which the young soldier indicated he was satisfied with conditions at his present base.Mr. and Mrs. A. MOSTELLER, 31 Dean street, West Chester, have received word from their son, Private Paul S. Mosteller, that he is now stationed at Camp Lee, Va. His address is: Company G, 10th Q.M.R.T.R., 3rd Platoon, Camp Lee, Va.Private First Class Nathaniel J. MOSES, son of Mrs. Norman G. THOMPSON, Hill Farm, Coatesville, has returned to the U.S. Air Force, 509th School Squadron, Perrin Field, Sherman, Tex., after a 10-day furlough at his home. He is a mechanic in the air force.Private Elmer E. CLEMSON, 3rd, of Green Tree, who enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps on June 8th this year, is with the 412th Squadron, Flight D, Barracks 14, at Keesler Field, Miss., and is at present attending a school for air cadets there. Private Clemson is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer E. Clemson, Jr., of Green Tree, and at the time of his enlistment was employed as a machinist with the Autocar Company at Ardmore. He is a graduate of the Tredyffrin-Easttown High School, Class of 1939, where he played football and other sports, and is well-known on the Main Line.
