Daily Local News September 18, 1942
Sworn in Tuesday as a Warrant Officer of the U.S. Naval Reserves, George 
Raymond WATSON, West Chester, has been ordered to report for duty at the 
Philadelphia Navy Yard tomorrow.  Married and the father of one child, Watson 
is a graduate of West Chester High School.  He also attended the U.S. Coast 
Guard Academy, New London, Conn., for two years.
Word has been received from Private Barclay L. RUBINCAM, who was inducted into 
the service on June 2nd and first stationed at Camp Polk, La., and later at 
Camp Shelby, Miss., that he had been transferred to California.  Private 
Rubincam, a graduate of the Wilmington Academy of Art, writes that he will have 
a great deal to paint when he returns home after the war, after seeing so much 
beautiful country.  His address is:  Co., F, 131st Engineers, Fort Ord, Calif.
Paul E. KIMPER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Kimper, of Frazer, was graduated 
from the Officers’ Candidate School at Fort Monmouth, N.J., on Saturday, 
September 12, receiving his commission as Second Lieutenant.  Lieutenant Kimper 
and his wife spent a few days this week visiting their parents and friends 
before the former reported for duty at Mitchel Field, Long Island, N.Y.
Mr. and Mrs. Hezekiah HENDERSON, of Downingtown, received a letter from their 
son, P. F.C. Hezekiah Henderson, who is now in New Caledonia, saying all is 
well.  He asks his friends to write to him at this address: P. F.C. Hezekiah
