JOHNSON and Jas. Johnson, sons of Mrs. Regina JONES, 117 East Lancaster avenue, Downingtown, have enlisted in the service of the United States. John enlisted in the Army, and is now located somewhere in England, while James enlisted in the Navy, and he is now stationed at Newport News. Jack Taylor GIBSON, of 420 South Walnut street, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Gibson, of South Matlack street, has enlisted in the United States Navy and will leave shortly for duty. Albert S. FOREMAN, proprietor of the Grand Hotel, Coatesville, has been commissioned a Second Lieutenant and will leave on October 19th for a camp in Illinois. Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin HOLSTON, 228 Magnolia street, West Chester, have received a letter from their son, Private Lawrence Leroy Holston, who is stationed in England. Technical Corporal Earl M. DAVIS, of 394 Nields street, who is stationed at Camp Funston, Kansas, has arrived home on a ten-day furlough. He reports that he likes army life, but that he is glad to be back in town and be with his family and many friends for a while. Corporal Edward B. DEERY, son of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Deery, of Lincoln Manor, who has been stationed at the San Antonio Aviation Cadet Center, San Antonio, Texas, has been ordered to report to the Air Force Officer’s Candidate School, at Miami Beach, Fla.
