Missimer, of Pottstown, formerly of Warwick Township, today received a letter from his grandson, Claude Missimer Keim, a native of St. Peter’s, who is now stationed at Fort Wood, Bedloe’s Island, New York Harbor, near the Statue of Liberty. He is a Corporal in the Quartermaster’s Department of the United States Army. Corporal Keim states that he may not be able to leave the service at the expiration of his time, this summer, owing to the conditions, when everything indicates war between the United States and Germany.
