Village Record January 24, 1865 Personal Property at Public Sale Of Jacob Ruth, East Whiteland Will be sold at public sale, on Wednesday and Thursday the 15th and 16th of February, 1865, at my residence in East Whiteland township my entire stock and Farming utensils and Dairy Fixtures. Consisting of Two good work horses, No. 1 is a mare coming 7 years, gentle in all kinds of harness; No. 2 is coming 7 years good to work and very fast: 1 yoke of York State Oxen, eight head of York State Steers, five milch cows, coming in profit; five good goats, 40 pair of fowls. Farming utensils- two good farm wagons, hay ladders, market Dearborn, a few two seated riding carriage, ox cart, 1 superior combined mowing and reaping machine, good one-horse threshing machine, good grain fan, superior corn sheller, patent horse rake, cutting box, 2 good wheel barrows. 1 good sod plow, Rogers New spike harrow. 2 good corn harrows, ox yokes, log chain, splice chains, cow chains, halter chains, Harness consisting of Quilers Stag Harness, lead gears, cart gears, Dearborn harness, collar and halter, saddle and bridles. Two grain cradles, mowing scythes, rakes and forks, shovels, spades and hoes, post and stone bar, sledges, grubbing hoe, lot of good grain bags, 15 ton of primary hay, corn and oats by the bushel; 8 acres of wheat, 2 hayknives, large farm bell. Dairy fixtures- Three churns 5 doz milk pans, 8 cream cans, 2 butter coolers, 2 butter tubs Household and Kitchen furniture- two corner cupboards, 1 kitchen dresser, 3 dinner tables, 4 wood stoves, bedsteads and bedding, bureaus, settee, Windsor chairs, rocking chairs, carpet, queens and earthen ware, cider by the barrel, meat and wash tubs, chests with great variety not enumerated.
