She had suffered a stroke on Friday night. Mrs. Anderson was born in West Chester, a daughter of William and Julia Burton. Her husband, a son of the late James Anderson, was a well known barber. Most of her early life was spent in West Chester, where she attended the public schools, and was an active member of the Second Presbyterian Church. Shortly after her marriage, they moved to Ardmore, where her husband had his business. The deceased lived a devoted, happy married life for nearly forty years. Se was an earnest member of Zion Baptist Church and worked in the Ladies’ Auxiliary for about five years. She was also a member of the Idle Hour Social Club. Besides her husband, she is survived by four sisters, Mattie, wife of Granville Anderson; Mrs. Edward Riley, Mrs. Prudence Patton and Mrs. Viola Patton and two brothers, Walter and William Burton, all of West Chester.
