He was a widower, aged about 70 years, and is survived by a few relatives. He was a veteran of the Civil War and is spoken of as being a bery (sic) good, industrious citizen. S.B. Russell (Deputy Coroner, decided that the man had died of heart disease. Daily Local News March 2, 1908 Anderson- On the 2d inst., Henry L. Anderson, aged 71 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, the 4th inst., from his late residence, 217 Patton Avenue. Meet at the house at 12 o’clock. Daily Local News March 5, 1908 The funeral of the late Henry Anderson, a veteran colored soldier and resident of West Chester, took place yesterday afternoon and was attended by relatives and friends. The funeral services were conducted b Rev. J.C. King, and interment took place at Chestnut Grove Annex at Oaklands. The pall bearers were members of George F. Smith Post G.A.R.
