Yesterday was the 31st anniversary of her marriage to Mr. Anderson, the first part of which they lived in Oxford, having come to West Chester nearly fourteen years ago. The deceased was a daughter of John and Louisa Gladman, and was born in West Chester. She was a sister of John G. Gladman and Clay Gladman, who still reside here. She leaves to survive her her husband and four children, on other child having died a few years ago. She was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church of West Chester, of which her husband is an elder. For some time past the deceased was in feeble health, but had improved until quite recently, when she was again taken down and the end came quickly. The cause of death was catarrh of the stomach. Daily Local News June 3, 1901 Anderson- On June 2, 1901, at 2:10 p.m., Mary A. Anderson, after a brief illness, at her residence, 321 West Gay Street. Funeral will take place from her lat residence on Wednesday afternoon, June 5th, at 3 o’clock. Meet at the house at 2:30. Move at 3. Interment at Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Friends of the family are cordially invited to attend. Daily Local News June 6, 1901 Funerals The funeral of Mrs. Mary Ann Anderson, wife of James Anderson, took place yesterday afternoon, from the residence of the family, on West Gay Street, and was very largely attended. The services were in charge of Rev. C. L. Butler. Pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church, of West Chester, of which the deceased was a member, assisted by Rev. C. L. Jefferson, a former pastor and Rev. Egelson, of Baltimore. The bearers were: George L Fry, Jesse Kelley, John W. Brown, Henry Robinson, Anthony Y Wilson and J. Robert Moore.
