Anderson Mattie Burton Anderson, wife of Granville Anderson, Sr, and daughter of the late Julia Hepburn and William Burton, passed away in the Chester County Hospital last evening in her 75th year. She had been ill two years. She was born in West Chester and had lived here all her life, and was a member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church. She is survived by her husband, Granville, and the following eight children: Leon O. and Cecil R. of West Chester; Francis of Tuckahoe, N.Y.; Mrs. Esther Jackson, wife of Vananda Jackson, of New York City; Mrs. Irma Flowers, widow of William Flowers; Mrs. Viola Hilton, wife of Francis Hilton; Mrs. Emily Ingram, wife of Voyd Ingram, and Miss Dorothy Anderson, all of West Chester; and two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Ridley and Mrs. Viola Patton, also of West Chester Sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews also survive. Two sons, Granville A., Jr and Verrill L. are deceased. Daily Local News May 1, 1950 Anderson- In Chester County Hospital, on Sunday, April 30, 1952, Mrs. Mattie B. Anderson, in the 74th year of her age. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral without further notice from the Day Funeral Home, 115 W.
